Gigantic project on sauropod biology

Almost wanted to type "gigantic sauropod project"... :-)

which leads to:

Popular articles (in German):

The articular surfaces of sauropod and e. g. ostrich cervicals show that sauropod necks were more flexible than used to be thought. In e. g. ostriches and camels the neck is held above the neutral position most of the time.

"We compare the pressure on the intervertebral discs in different places of the neck" so they can find out how the neck in question was held most of the time. I assume the results don't contradict this http://dml.cmnh.org/2001Dec/msg00825.html.
