The thing is, Jaime's approach (copy the person you're replying to as
well as the list) fails safe: the bad consequence of Jaime's approach
that you want to avoid (getting duplicate mails) is much less bad than
the consequence of your approach, which is that sometimes you might
not get the message at all.
