CALL FOR STUDENTS:
Interested in pursuing a career in the earth/life
sciences? PaleoWorld Research Foundation is now accepting applications
for high school and college student interns for the 2006 Montana
Dinosaur Expedition in the badlands of eastern Montana's Cretaceous
Hell Creek Formation! This is a rare experience-building opportunity
where you can be an active research participant on a real
You will learn and participate in such activities as field
prospecting, fossil excavation, geological studies, quarry work,
plaster jacketing, lab work, museum procedures and paleontological
history, all while exploring the beautiful Montana countryside.
Undergraduate students in the past have even conducted their own field
research and published their results in scientific journals while
still an undergraduate.
This is an opportunity to enhance your resume with
hands-on field experience on a genuine dinosaur expedition. Our
current research focuses on the three-horned dinosaur Triceratops and
the geology of the Hell Creek Formation. The typical duration of a
students stay with us averages around three weeks, though you are free
to stay for as little or as long as you are able. All interested
students are welcome and encouraged to apply.
Field Team Manuel and all 2006 intern fees will be sent
out in mid-March.
