It would be an interesting experiment to dye a deer carcass with an odorless, non-toxic fluorescent blue or fluorescent orange food coloring and see how the vultures (or ravens or whatever) react.

This experiment must have already been done somewhere.  Its too cheap and
simple not to have been tried.

I can predict how Ravens would react. They would stay away, at least for a while, since they are very suspicious of anything new or abnormal.
