Re: 'Grand-daddy' of crocs found in Australia

"Crocodile bites are second only to Tyrannosaurus as
the most powerful known bites of all time," says

Actually, according to Erickson, the crocodyliform
_Sarcosuchus_ could do 6 times a _T.rex_ bite.
Schwimmer extrapolated that data out to the eusuchian
_Deinosuchus_ and found it could do the same.

So crocs were holding the top spot back then too.

Incidentally it's also nice to hear from former DMLer
Paul Willis again. I was wondering what he was doing.

than we do of many fossil groups." - Alfred S. Romer
