Re: Final Call for Submissions to Exhibit at the First Annual - PaleoArt Poster Exhibit, 2006 - at SVP Ottawa

Jordan - I've included the lists,
We've expanded it to include "all" paleo categories. It's become pretty wide open to life illustrations, so don't feel constricted.

Hi Patti,

Just to be absolutely sure, by "reconstructions" you mean
illustrations of actual bones and not life restorations, right?

Final Call for submissions to exhibit at the First Annual - PaleoArt Poster
Exhibit 2006
October 18, 2006 at the Canadian Museum of Nature.
In conjunction with SVP's (the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology) annual
meeting in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
The juried exhibit is scheduled during the SVP Opening Reception, 10/18/06,
from 7:00 to 10:00 P.M. at the museum.

(Please pass this on to any PaleoArtists who may not have list access.)

This exhibit is NOT affiliated with SVP, but is coordinated through a
separate committee working with the Canadian Museum of Nature.
Please do not contact SVP with any questions related to this session.

IMPORTANT: This year's theme is: Any reproduced, non-photographic 2-D, (or
photos of 3-D) "reasonably scientifically accurate" renderings in Black &
White or Color, of body, trace fossils, or reconstructions to show in a
2'X6' vertical space. (Space may be expanded)

Further details are in the Guidelines.
You, or a designated representative must be present to exhibit.

To request the PaleoArt Poster Session Submission Guidelines, please contact
me by email at: pkv1@erols.com and I will send you the information.
Please Note: The deadline for email submissions is Sunday, 10/8/06. (This
can be flexible so long as you contact us)
(This session was just approved recently, thus the short lead time)
By way of information, this is similar to the standard SVP poster sessions,
but is a request for "reasonably scientifically accurate" PaleoArtwork only.
