Re: The Permian-Triassic Extinction

Dinosaurs in the Permian? I thought the earliest remains (Eoraptor, Saturnalia, Pisanosaurus, etc.) dated back to 230 Ma or so, and since Marasuchus, Euparkeria, and early crocodilians don't seem to have existed prior to the Early Triassic either (to my knowledge at least), I can't find much of a reason to assume that dinosaurs existed earlier.
