Oldest bee fossil

George and Roberta Poinar in _The Amber Forest_ Princeton University
Press, Princeton, N.J. 1999, state the largest lizard found in any amber
deposit to be an _Anolis_ 3 1/2 inches long. They also picture an entire
gecko _Sphaerodactylus_ and adult frog _Eleutherodactylus_ (no statement on
size).
They have another book _The Quest for Life in Amber_ Addison_wesley
Publishing Company, Reading, Mass. 1994. Both have wonderful colour
photographs.
