Re: Shark eating dino fossil found in Utah

Tim Williams writes:

The other advantage to being a fish-eating biped is that, after catching a fish, the theropod can brag to his friends "I caught a fish THIS big" - and show them exactly how big!

Now it all becomes clear. Obviously those theropods that were able to brag successfully about their catch attracted more females. This selected for shoulder joints capable of allowing the forelimbs to be spread increasingly wider. If it wasn't for proud angling theropods, the flight stroke would never have been possible!
