People, there is a much better term for "mammal-like reptile" now. Not
only is it more succinct, but it is much more accurate, and it gets to
the heart of why this is an interesting paraphyletic group in the
first place.

That term is: "stem-mammal".

("Stem-X" meaning a member of the total group of X which is not a
member of the crown group of X.)

As for "mammal-like-reptile complex", there's "the mammalian total
group", "pan-Mammalia", "Synapsida", and "Theropsida". Take your pick.
