This is so silly. Had disease, parasitic infestation, and competition with
insects already set the _ammonites_ on a path toward extinction? _And_ the
cheirolepidiacean conifers? Obviously not. Why are there still people who
try to explain the extinction of "the dinosaurs" by trying to explain the
extinction of "the dinosaurs"?
Sounds like a great book. That's one more reason the authors shouldn't have
evaded common sense (never mind the lack of evidence for a decline).
