PLoS Dinosaur Articles (was RE: Irradiated Archae and LIDARed dinos)

There have been a whole series of dinosaur and vertebrate paleontology-related 
articles in PLoS ONE recently (highlighted at the Open Source Paleontologist, 
http://openpaleo.blogspot.com, among other blogs). I strongly encourage all 
interested folks to get PLoS accounts, which then allow you to make comments, 
write addenda, and rate articles. This is a novel feature of the PLoS family of 
publications, and one that greatly enhances their scientific usefulness as well 
as interactions with authors (see my recent post at 
 for more on this, including how to register). For instance (if you'll forgive 
the self-promotion), I made some comments on the LIDAR dinosaur article, which 
were responded to by one of the authors. Similarly, there are some really good 
points posted on the recent Panphagia article
