Which living animals have such loosely articulated digits (and sufficiently
long at that), that they would impress the lateral or medial sides of their
large unguals into the substrate? And what makes such looseness possible?

you can add: 1) libraries and interlibrary loans; 2) borrowing from colleagues;
3) hoping for an internet post; and 4) visiting the source material. Asking the
