 True.  But, and this is how I read it, the original question focused on 
ecosystems which harbored dinosaurs.
like how "the dodos' ecosystem" excludes organisms which didn't live on the 
islands which had dodos.
 and as opposed to Mesozoic ecosystems which had - for example - "crimson 
crocs" but no dinosaurs.
