RE: Sinosauropteryx filament melanosomes challenged

I made a point to call TLS out on his apparent lack of attempts to discuss the 
anatomy of contemporary or diverse preservation in Liaoning way back when -- 
over a year ago, emmended when TLS published more on the same subject -- here: 

The paper did not address any concerns I had, and TLS continues to use his 
shark and ichthyosaur studies as the basis for alluding to a collagenic tail 
fin in *Sinosauropteryx*. Every other sample, as folsk like Feduccia and Ruben 
et al. aver, are just birds, and thus need no investigation. I am, at this 
point in time, not going to hold by breath in regards to TLS making an 
investigation in his processes to discern collagen in the integument of "clear 
birds" and explain this in *Sinosauropteryx*.

All seriousness aside, this line of papers remains -- as it has continued to be 
-- the only legitimate investigate analysis the "BAND" camp and supporters (of 
which TLS is a supporter) has yet to offer, and the massive focus on 
*Sinosauropteryx* continues as it has since 1997 despite many other, better 
examples of integument evolution in nonavian theropods (e.g., utterly no word 
said of *Beipiaosaurus* aside from Xu et al. and this only in brief letters).
