Re: Alvarezsaur spurs (was Re: dino-lice)

True, the aardwolf is truly strange. It is truly cursorial being
mostly a myrmecophage, so the questioning of myrmecophagous habits
because of being cursorial seems to lose a limb. Other thing: how does
it acess to the contents of termiteria? waiting pholidotans or
aardvarks to perform the task? with its canines (which do not seem
larger than in other carnivores, by the way)? Or is it that it does
not need a specialized forelimb to perform the task with its own
forelimbs?

By the way, giant anteaters also go after eggs. Perhaps they increase
the nutricious content of the poor myrmecophagous diet this way. At
least, they indicate that the myrmecophagous habit is also useful for
egg-eating.
