Re: Unescoceratops and Gryphognathus, new ceratopsians from Alberta
From: Ben Creisler
Additional sources to check besides the Nomenclator Zoologicus and Google:
The Paleobiology Database (although it's offline today for some reason):
The Biodiversity Heritage Library:
Libraries and other institutions may have subscriber access to the Zoological
Record online, which is more up-to-date than the Nomenclator Zoologicus online
However, the Zoological Record does not always pick up Chinese and other
non-European publications that eventually get into the Nomenclator Zoologicus.
While its total paleo coverage is terrible, comparatively, it's historical
value added to, say, Googling the intended name allows a person to ensure
he/she doesn't end up with a preoccupied name, especially that of an arthropod.
It's becoming embarassing ;)
