Point Cloud data

Dear All,

I thought that some of you might like to access the laser scanned point cloud
data that we used in the recent body mass paper. It is useful as a starting
point for creating computer models or for measuring various things. Just beware
that the files are big and you need to use a program like Meshlab to visualise
the data. Meshlab will also do convex hulls if you want to check the
calculations. It is linked from the front page of the Animal Simulation website:

or you can leap straight in at:

The beasts available are the Berlin Giraffatitan plus a miscellaneous bunch of
large mammals: Bison, Bull, Camel, Red Deer, Elephant, Giraffe, Horse, Irish
Elk, Pig, Polar Bear, Reindeer, Rhinoceros, Tapir.

The files are free to use as long as you acknowledge the source as appropriate.
Have fun.
