Chickens are omnivores. They eat grain, vegetation, and bugs. My guess is they'd eat your sandwich as well but don't know about that part. They eat more vegetation and grain than bugs.

You mean they eat alot of ants?   I wonder how many bugs it takes to
make a myrnecophage?
