Re: tyrannosaur species overlap in NA on turkey-day



Species of Daspletosaurus and Gorgosaurus overlapped in time AND space.

When Tyrannosaurus was around, it was the only tyrant in North America
(unless Nanotyrannus is a real taxon, in which case they overlapped in
time and space.)

shows these pretty well. But note: the upper range of Albertosaurus and
the lower range of Tyrannosaurus are at present poorly constrained.
