Museo de Ciencias Naturales UZ opening ceremony



Dear dinolist members

Tomorrow at 12:00 pm, the opening ceremony of the Museum of Natural
History of the University of Zaragoza well be held in the museum hall
of the Paraninfo building, in Zaragoza.

The museum opens with two permanent exhibits, the Longinos Navás
collection of Natural History, which includes naturalized animal
specimens from all over the world and local fossil specimens collected
by father Longinos Navás during the early twentieth century, building
an extensive collection with huge historical value; and the
paleontology collection of the University of Zaragoza, house of
hundreds of holotypes with ages ranging from Cambrian to Holocene
(Including some of great interest fot the dinolisters, such us
Arenysasus ardeboli  and Allodaposuchus subjuniperus). Many of these
will be shown to the public for the first time. Also, researcher
facilities are ready for any scientist that wants to visit the museum
collections.

University of Zaragoza invites you all to the opening ceremony, and to
visit our museum if you happen to be on Spain.
