The Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology is joining the list of journals
that publish papers online before official paper publication in a
numbered issue. However, these JVP online papers will be in final
edited form (not MS form as some other journals do) and will be valid
for citation. Authors will register new taxa with Zoobank.

On another note --- as of 2015 the Journal of Paleontology and
Paleobiology will be published by Cambridge University Press, which
also has advance publication.
