I have to correct myself, reading Scheel 1993 it states that for the taken Buffalo, Wildebeest, Zebra, Kongoni, Wart hog, Topi and Thomson’s gazelle at least 25% were juvenile in each species. That is not precisely the average figure it looks like in Hayward and Kerley. Nonetheless it is implied that it is in that ballpark (if the taken buffalo were predominantly juveniles, or if lions "almost never" took adults as has been claimed, Scheel would not list the amount of meat available from a buffalo kill as 240kg).
