[dinosaur] How to survive the K-Pg impact

Good day,

I would like to ask, what was (being a medium to large sized dinosaur in Laramidia) best tactics of surviving the K-Pg impact? Of course, closer than about 2000 km from the epicenter of impact nothing would save you, but in places like todayÂs Montana (some 3500 km away) could e. g. dense cloudy sky protect you from the incoming IR radiation? Or would small burrowing ornithopods survive the catastrophe (and temperatures elevated up to about 400 ÂC) hidden some 50 cm below ground? Would natural hiding places like caves, canyons and swamps provide effective protection to some level? Thank you, in advance. Tom
