Re: [dinosaur] Unsubscribing from the DML

Just a reminder... Simply sending an email (dinosaur-l@usc.edu)Âto the DML itself and posting it will NOT unsubscribe people from the list.ÂÂYou need to send it toÂsympa@mymaillists.usc.edu as explained below.Â

I have nothing to do with the technical side of the DML.

This is based on what I posted some months back because the old DML FAQ has not been working.

From the address with which you subscribed to the DML, send an email message to:

In the subject line of your email, type in:

unsubscribe dinosaur-l@usc.edu

Leave the message body blank.

New papers:

Hovurlestes noyon gen. et sp. nov.

New stem placental mammal from the Early Cretaceous of Mongolia.

DOI: 10.7868/S0869565218010243Â

[very rough translation of abstract (with a bit of Google translate); this paper will probably get an official English translation in the Doklady journals (Biological Sciences or Earth Sciences)]

A new taxon of stem placental mammals, Hovurlestes noyon gen. et sp. nov., is described, from the Early Cretaceous of Mongolia (Khovur location). The new taxon differs from members of the genus Prokennalestes from Khovur in having a single-root fang and the presence of a tubercle e, which enhances the interdental traction between the anterior molars (m1 and m2). Hovurlestes noyon gen. et sp. nov. is one of the very rare mammal taxa in Khovur, increasing the morphological diversity of the earliest Eutheria.

News release in Russian (posted earlier on the DML)

Hovurlestes is the second photo of a lower jaw with large teeth and the mammal eating a lizard in the image

noyon means "prince"Â ("prince robber from Khovur")
