Re: [dinosaur] Brian Franczak death
Another triggered memory - I believe the first time I met Brian was at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, which was having a paleoart exhibition part of which featured Brian working on a sculpture and available to talk to visitors. I was there with my young son, and sI recall we had a very interesting and enjoyable conversation. I canât recall the year, though.

I met him at the China's Feathered Dinosaurs Symposium at Yale in 1999. Ron, was that the last time you saw him? I remember that he offered to take a little group to see the dinosaur tracks in Connecticut, but I don't remember why that didn't happen, I am sorry to hear that he has passed away.
Very sad news. It has been a long time since I last saw him, and I had no idea that his health has deteriorated so much in recent years. He was certainly one of the best palaeoartists out there, and a nice man to boot.
